Lotte Hotel MyeongDong
Lotte Hotel MyeongDong is a premium city hotel located between MyeongDong, a skincare and beauty shopping heaven, the shopping and business center of Seoul and Cheonggyecheon, an oasis found in the downtown area.
Location
It just about 10 to 15 minutes by walk and a short distance from MyeongDong Main Street, where you can find food and the shopping heaven mentioned above making it a great and convenient location to stay in. It is also advisable to take the airport limousine bus number 6015 from Incheon airport instead of the metro because this bus will stop at the Euljiro Il-ga Station, a minute walk across the street from the hotel. As the hotel is centrally located in Seoul, it is accessible and convenient to get to most of the destinations such as the Namdaemun markets, Seoul railway station, City Hall, Deoksugung Palace, Gyeongbukgung Palace and Hongdae Street. There are also a lot of cafes and grocery stores around the area. A 7-11 convenient store is located on the ground floor of the hotel and the Lotte Departmental store is also just about 20 minutes away by walk. Lotte Hotel MyeongDong can be easily found because of the blue light man signage prominently displayed like a landmark. If you fancy going to the park or to the Seoul Tower, the hotel is located north of it and will require you only 5 minutes by taxi to get to the base of the cable car. You can also use the taxi to take you around the famous places in the Jungu area for just about 3,000 to 5,000 Korean Won.
Rooms
The rooms are new, clean, modern looking, stylish and cosy plus the beds were comfortable enough that you do not want to get out of them. The rooms can be considered spacious but some users said that they are a little too small for their likings. Although the rooms are a little small, there is still plenty of space to put your luggage or bag. Some of the rooms at the higher floors also offers great night view of the Seoul City. These rooms are equipped with smart control room allowing you to use your phone as remote on the TV and adjust the temperature of the air conditioner. The rain shower is nice to use and there is a good storage for clothing. They also offer great and necessary amenities like a great sized bath tub and bidet. The rooms are quiet enough to give you a comfortable sleep.
Service
The front desk employees are very polite, well trained, helpful, friendly, professional, accommodating, obliging and some of them speak good English. The employees are kind and always eager to help their hotel guests by attending to their requests, inquiries, needs and problems in an effective manner. The exchange rate at the hotel is also not bad and they provide value when exchanging your money. Some guests even managed to get a room upgrade while some got to check-in earlier.
