- It is about 4 minutes’ walk to Shinsegae Department Store, 5 minutes’ walk to Namdaemun market, 9 minutes’ walk to Lotte Department Store and Dongdaemun market is just 2 subway stations away using Line 4

- The location of The Grand Hotel Myeongdong can be difficult for international visitors and taxi drivers to find as it is located a little bit off from Myeongdong main street
- The optional breakfast served daily at the hotel’s restaurant is overpriced because it costs about USD 15
- Some hotel guests found the rooms and bathrooms to be too small and cramped with no space to move around and no place to put their luggage
- Although the hotel claimed that their rooms are non-smoking, some of the hotel guests found out that someone else previously smoked in their rooms and had to change to other rooms because of that
